Fall is here. The big tree in the back yard now has bright yellow leaves falling off it all over the ground. Its time to start thinking about halloween and all the sweet treats that go along with it. I cant wait to make some pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting... oh and grams just made carameled apples, yum! The kids are already asking about carving pumpkins. Id love to do another halloween party this year for our kids and the nephews... theyve been asking if Ill have a halloween party again this year. have to see if I cant get something thrown together for them... they loved bobbing for apples last year. *grins*

This is my youngests first year of school, since she is going to full day kindergarten the school takes the first couple Fridays for the kindergarteners have off. I suppose just to get them used to doing the full days all week long... kind of works them up to it. So this morning I'm getting them all ready to walk out the door, say good bye, hugs and kisses, all that good stuff... only to get a call from the bus driver a few minutes later saying "didn't you know the kidergarteners didn't have class today? I'm sending her back home." I thought it was odd but hung up the phone and waited for little one to walk back home. During which time I'm kicking myself in the ass for not knowing they didn't have class. Then it dawns on me... today was supposed to be teddy bear day, then I remembered looking at the snack calander and telling little one whos day it was to bring the class snack. So I call the school to verify I'm not crazy, at least not quite yet. Of course they DO have school but there is still a bus in the area to come get her. Off we go back to the bus stop...

Im beat but today was a very productive day. I helped my husband fix our boiler heat. Good thing we took the time to check over the system now and not later as it did need some work. Its been getting colder here lately... weve already had frost at least a couple times. Its supposed to be warmer next week but Im sure the cold, cold weather isnt too far off. I also cleaned out the basement today and trust me, It REALLY needed it. Seems like we tend to toss things down there for storage and it doesnt always find a proper place. We also had my husbands aunt come out and pick through some extra paint... shes trying to get her place ready to sell. I made taco salads for dinner, and then helped the kidos get settled in the tent for the night. Were playing camp out. Hope it doesnt get too cold for them, though I did give them each three heavy blankets and made sure they knew to could come in if they got too cold. I suppose Im being too momish but what can I say thats my job. :P
